Task Force Controller

Full time

We are looking for a talented Task Force Controller to provide temporary or transitional support and coverage of a property's Controller and/or the Corporate Staff Accountant.

Salary Range: 70k-80k

The Task Force Controller will be tasked with the following duties, responsibilities, and assignments:

  • Fulfill ing theController roleon a transitional basis for the properties to ensure compliance and maintain consistency in the areas of:


  • Implementing Atrium Finance SOPs, internal controls and safeguard s for property assets ;
  • Manag ing the accounts receivable functions , ensuring the accounts are in good standing ;
  • Overseeing i nternal and external audit findings ;
  • Processing credit card and cash deposits in an accurate and timely manner ;
  • Running a ccounting platforms with emphasis on purchase order and accounting systems ;
  • Review ing daily income journal for accuracy, reconciliation of daily cash and credit card deposits and ensur ing guest, city and advance deposit ledgers balance to the general ledger ;
  • R econciling daily sales and lodging taxes collected ;
  • Assist ing General Manager in property profitabilityandfinancial analysis including P&L review, forecasts and budgets ;


  • P roviding t rain ing , guidance and mentorship to new Controller positions across all properties as needed ;
  • Assist ing with internal audits ;
  • Support ing corporate accounting staff with month-end tasks and general ledger items ; and
  • Any and all other work as required to complete the primary purpose of the position

What you need to be considered for this role:

5 + years of Accounting e xperience

Previous full-service hotel experience

3 + years management experience

Hotel b udgeting and forecasting experience

Strong knowledge of the accounts payable, income audit, and general ledger reconciliation functions

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Management or related discipline ; or equivalent experience

Knowledge of POS and PMS systems

Intermediate skills in MicrosoftOffice Suite

Certified Hospitality Accountant Executive (CHAE)

Experience using Birchstreet , ProfitSage , Sage 300 , Concur , Workday, POS and PMS systems
