Your Role:
- Develop your knowledge and skills in various cooking procedures and methods
- Grow proficiency in using knives and various kitchen equipment
- Recreate menu items for both the restaurant and banquets
- Establish consistency in cooking and presentation
- Minimize food waste through cross-utilization
- Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping and peeling vegetables and cutting meat
- Adhere to standard practices in kitchen sanitization
- Properly store all food and other items
- Take responsibility for the quality of ingredients
Qualifications:
- Active Food Handler's certification or the ability to obtain it
- Willingness to work a variety of day/night and weekend shifts
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently
- Capability to stand for extended periods
- Capacity to lift at least 50 pounds
- Desire to exceed expectations
