Primary Purpose:

The primary purpose of the Event Technology Manager is to provide guests with an excellent banquet experience while providing technology support during events and managing the Event Technology Department.

Work Performed:

The Event Technology Manager will be tasked with the following duties, responsibilities, and assignments:

  • Supervi se Associates to include developing positive working relationships, provi din g training and educational support, assisting in the recruitment process, and ensuring that Event Technology Associates are meeting guest needs;
  • Manag e the department by assisting Associates to understand and adhere to employment practices, recommending employment decisions, supporting performance management, and implementing corrective action in accordance with Atrium's Core Values ;
  • Creat e a best-in-class guest experience , measured by brand specific service measurement scores, while engaging with guests, maintaining quality products, adhering to health code requirements, and enforcing cleanliness standards;
  • Coordinat e activities with the sales and other departments to ensure that services are provided in an efficient and timely manner ;
  • Ensur e financial goals of the department and the hotel are being met by managing costs for labor, supplies, and equipment;
  • De velop and recommend revenue driving initiatives and monitor revenue performance; Execut e the Event Technology needs through set up, operation, and troubleshooting in relation to all AV/projection/lighting/conferencing equipment, devices, and systems in areas of the hotel where needed;
  • Assist and instruct guests regarding proper usage and operation of AV equipment ;
  • Break-down, remove, and secure equipment when not in use;
  • Contract with outside vendors, including to rent and purchase AV equipment when necessary;
  • Manag e guest shipments, including ensuring that packages are dispatched and delivered according to

guest instructions;

  • Understand i ng hotel emergency procedures to include fire, life, andsafety ;
  • Recommending changes that could improve technology forward, service , and increase operational efficiency; and
  • Any and all other work as required to complete the primary purpose of the position.


Required Prior Experience:

3 years in audio/visual technology role

Prior supervisory/leadership experience

Preferred Prior Experience:

Prior hospitality experience

Preferred Education:

Associates degree or higher in hospitality, business, or a related field

High school diploma or equivalent

Required Technology:

Intermediate computer knowledge, including the Microsoft Suite of Word, Excel, PowerPoint Outlook, and Teams .

Preferred Technology:

K nowledge of operating system s (Microsoft, Apple)



Ab le to lift 50lbs; Able navigate the event space up to four (4) consecutive hours within a scheduled shift


Available to work all shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
